# Connect Gigabrain with skills and OAuth Environment: staging pilot Official repository: https://github.com/GigabrainGG/skills Immutable revision: 258912894d12a039c524856651ca64c6d235042b Package: gigabrain-staging@gigabrain Reviewable source: https://github.com/GigabrainGG/skills/tree/258912894d12a039c524856651ca64c6d235042b/plugins/gigabrain-staging MCP endpoint: https://staging-api.gigabrain.gg/mcp Account management: https://staging.gigabrain.gg/connect?tab=connected Install only this package: setup, asset-briefing and trade-thesis-review skills, plus the remote MCP connection. No local data service, API key, trading/wallet skills, or AI-provider connection in Gigabrain is required. The host agent supplies reasoning; Gigabrain's core tools fetch data and calculate deterministically. Hosted Research is separate and must not be used as an automatic fallback. ## Review and install Read the pinned setup skill and its host instructions before changing configuration: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/GigabrainGG/skills/258912894d12a039c524856651ca64c6d235042b/plugins/gigabrain-staging/skills/setup/SKILL.md https://raw.githubusercontent.com/GigabrainGG/skills/258912894d12a039c524856651ca64c6d235042b/plugins/gigabrain-staging/skills/setup/references/connection.md Check the actual host/version and existing installation. Update an older Gigabrain package to this pinned revision using the host's documented updater or reviewed reinstall; verify that the loaded briefing and thesis-review skills describe the public v3 contract and its six supported sections. Reuse an equivalent installation; preserve unrelated configuration and ask before replacing local modifications. Codex: use the native plugin marketplace at the immutable revision: codex plugin marketplace add GigabrainGG/skills --ref 258912894d12a039c524856651ca64c6d235042b codex plugin list codex plugin add gigabrain-staging@gigabrain If this version installs plugins through its desktop UI, install the package from the Gigabrain marketplace there. Start a new session after installation. Modern Codex uses native OAuth client metadata discovery. If plugins or bundled MCP are unsupported, use only the documented skill-plus-MCP fallback in the pinned host instructions. Claude Code: clone the official source into a dedicated checkout, check out the exact revision above, and review the package. Add that checkout with claude plugin marketplace add claude plugin install gigabrain-staging@gigabrain Then reload/start a new session and authenticate its server from /mcp. The package declares the public OAuth client ID; it contains no client secret. Host commands must exist in the installed version's help; do not invent an installation route. Other agents: require documented skills plus remote Streamable HTTP MCP and native OAuth support. Unknown OAuth clients may need registration and are not automatically compatible. Installing skills alone does not install/configure MCP. Ordinary hosted chat may not install local packages; use its supported connector interface or report the limitation. Never substitute API-key setup or borrow another client's credentials. ## Sign in and verify Use the host's native browser OAuth flow for https://staging-api.gigabrain.gg/mcp with account:read intelligence:read offline_access. The user signs in and approves access; the host owns token storage and refresh. Do not read/request tokens, cookies or secrets. Discover and call get_connection_status first. This proves authentication, not market access. Read membership.hasPaidSubscription, subscriptionStatus, source, access and message. If access is membership_required, explicitly tell the user they do not have an active paid subscription or qualifying wallet membership. OAuth is connected, but market intelligence is locked. Show membership.upgradeUrl as "View membership options" (fallback: https://staging.gigabrain.gg/profile?tab=plan), then stop before calling context. Do not purchase membership, imply checkout is open, reconnect OAuth or ask for an AI-provider key. If access is ready with hasPaidSubscription false, explain that qualifying wallet membership grants access without a paid subscription; do not upsell the user. For allowance_exhausted, explain the reset. For not_enabled, explain the rollout restriction. For temporarily_unavailable or unknown status, do not assume the user is unpaid or recommend purchasing as a fix. After activation, recheck status on the same connection; no reinstall is needed. Older status responses without these fields do not prove membership is ready. Only if membership.access is ready and the user's setup request authorizes verification, make one get_asset_context call with {"asset":"BTC"}. This uses one shared Gigabrain request; it does not consume a model-provider balance in Gigabrain. Otherwise ask before using the allowance. Require a successful asset-context.v3 response with data_mode live for BTC. The six supported sections are market, technicals, positioning, fundamentals, catalysts and macro. At least one section must contain usable data, and coverage.included must match the returned sections. Unsupported fields and sections are omitted. Coverage describes presence, not exhaustive completeness. Use the returned measurements, patterns, evidence, observation dates and material caveats. Sentiment and narratives are optional: use them only when present. Never interpret an omitted value as zero or neutral. Do not request raw payloads, provider identities, collection methods or internal policy logic. Follow original verification links only when provided and relevant; do not invent attribution. An unavailable section does not invalidate the others. Report partial coverage accurately. If the server returns v1 or v2, report an outdated contract instead of claiming public-schema setup is complete. No category selection or AI-provider connection is required. Staging notice: Verify current coverage; do not assume all six sections are available. ## Recovery and updates Canceled OAuth: leave installation intact and resume sign-in when requested. 401/revoked/expired: native reconnect. Missing intelligence scope: fresh consent; refresh cannot expand an old account-only grant. A 403 with error.code MEMBERSHIP_REQUIRED means membership is needed: explain the unpaid state, show error.membership.upgradeUrl and stop. Other 403 errors may be scope or rollout restrictions; do not confuse them. 429: show limit/reset/Retry-After and stop. 409: do not retry with a new request ID. 503, unavailable provider or missing tool: report the failing stage. Do not request an AI-provider key, fabricate a briefing, or fall back to legacy Research. Use the host's plugin updater with a newly reviewed immutable revision for updates; this guide changing does not update installed skills. Removing a plugin does not revoke its account grant. Manage access at https://staging.gigabrain.gg/connect?tab=connected. No purchases, wallet operations, trades or recurring jobs are included.
